Rhode Island weather for May 1, 2023 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Rain ends in the pre-dawn hours as the frontal system finally moves out of the area to the northeast and takes April with it. Winds will still be gusting to around 30 mph out of the south-southwest and gradually diminishing during the afternoon as cloud cover thins. Afternoon highs will reach the low 60’s and evening lows drop into the upper 40’s.
It’s a “B” day!

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
