When Lauren adopted a stray dog named Falkor, many people were unsure if she had brought a goat or a pig home.

Lauren felt incredibly fortunate to have found such a unique companion despite the confusion. Falkor’s appearance was truly unusual, leading some to question if she was even a dog.

When Lauren discovered Falkor, she weighed just 3.5 pounds, making it difficult to determine whether she was a puppy or an older dog.

Lauren had been volunteering to take stray dogs to a shelter when she found Falkor isolated in a small room.

The little dog was in poor condition—dirty and aggressive—but Lauren saw potential and decided to bring her home.

At the time of her adoption, veterinarians estimated Falkor to be between 5 and 6 years old, but she was around 12 to 13.

As an albino dog, Falkor did not suffer from the typical issues of albinism, such as deafness or blindness.

Despite her delicate appearance, Falkor exhibited a strong personality. Lauren had to use a towel to help secure her for transport.

Falkor’s aggressive behavior around food was a challenge. To manage this, Lauren fed her separately from her other Pets.

Falkor was deeply devoted to Lauren and preferred human company over that of other dogs, possibly due to past experiences of comPetition for food.

Her greatest delight was a small piece of McDonald’s French fry, which she cherished after her toenail trimming.

Falkor enjoyed massages, baths, and suNBAthing, although Lauren limited her sun exposure to protect her albino skin.

Lauren considered it a privilege to care for Falkor, whom she described as truly one of a kind.
