Celtic will need to wait to find out who they will play after the split for another few days, according to a report from RecordSport.

Although the schedule of the post-split Games was revealed the Tuesday after matchday 33 last year, things are going to take a bit longer this time around.

That is because the SPFL are waiting to see what the final standings are in the top six. They could alter when Dundee host Rangers on Wednesday evening.

If they do, then the matches will resultantly be affected but such a scenario is entirely unlikely.

The only way in which current standings could alter is if the Dee beat the Gers by five or more goals and thus leapfrog St. Mirren into fifth.

Unless Tony Docherty’s men morph into Barcelona and take some inspiration from Ross County, one can’t imagine this happening coming to fruition.

Despite this, the league will wait and Celtic will likely not find out their post-split fixtures until the end of this week.
