As the summer rages on, so too does Celtic’s hunt for a goalkeeper.

Several stoppers have been linked with moves to Parkhead but Martin Dubravka and Peter Vindahl Jensen appear as the two most realistic candidates to replace Joe Hart.

The Hoops look to have been priced out of a move for Liverpool man Caoimhin Kelleher, and a report has recently stated that while his Ireland colleague Mark Travers is also of interest to the Bhoys, similarly, the fee has caught them out.

According to The Sun in Ireland, Bournemouth have set a price tag of £10m on Travers’ head, resultantly scaring Celtic, and other potential suitors such as Crystal Palace, off.

25 years old, Travers has been with the Cherries since he was a teenager. He only made five appearances for the club in the season gone by, though, and a summer exit is looming.

While Travers would be a prosperous addition to Celtic’s goalkeeping department, his price, combined with the fact there is better value out there, makes him somewhat of an unrealistic option.
