Real Madrid's best and worst players in Champions League quarter-final triumph over Man City
It might not always have been pretty, but at the end of the day, Real Madrid are in the Champions League semi-final.
Carlo Ancelotti's men had to hang on against Manchester City and took the game to penalties, where it was Andriy Lunin who stepped up and saved the day - quite literally.
Here's how the players fared in 90min's player ratings.
Real Madrid's best player vs Man City
Andriy Lunin - 8/10
When you save two penalties, you're always in with a shot of standing out from the crowd, and that's exactly what Andriy Lunin did.
He embarrassed Bernardo Silva by standing tall and catching his brave chip, before getting down low to keep Mateo Kovacic out and hand his teaMMAtes the chance to win the tie. Lunin was under pressure all Game but never buckled once.
Honourable mention
Antonio Rudiger - 7/10
The man who scored the winning penalty was typically excellent in defence and perhaps merited a higher rating, but unfortunately it was his clearance which landed at the feet of Kevin De Bruyne for City's equaliser.
Nevertheless, Rudiger's monstrous handling of Erling Haaland will once again go down in History. Haaland even made a clear effort to keep away from the German, such was his dominant performance.
Real Madrid's worst player vs Man City
Dani Carvajal - 6/10
Look, let's not act like this was a bad performance from Dani Carvajal, because it really wasn't.
However, across the entire game, almost all of City's threat came down his side. Jack Grealish enjoyed the first half and it was Jeremy Doku's introduction which ultimately led to the equaliser. Carvajal did all he could.
