Phillies vs Mets Prediction & Same Game Parlay Picks at +614 odds | Pickswise
The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets will play across the pond as part of Major League Baseball’s London Series on Saturday afternoon. Here is my Same Game Parlay for the festivities, which will be televised starting at 1:10 pm ET on FOX. Also be sure to check out our full Phillies vs Mets predictions.
Phillies -1.5 (+110)
Under 9.5 (-110)
Ranger Suarez to record 6+ strikeouts (+134
Parlay odds: +614
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Ranger Suarez racking up plenty of strikeouts would obviously work well with a Philadelphia victory and the under. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs
Phillies -1.5 (+110)
Suarez left his last start after the second inning with thumb discomfort but was cleared to start and there is no indication that it bothered him when he was throwing earlier this week. As such, he should be expected to continue his torrid pace. The Mets will be sending Sean Manaea to the mound. He is 3-2 with a 3.63 ERA and struggled in his last start against the Diamondbacks giving up 5 earned runs on 6 hits in just 5.2 innings. The biggest issue for New York is pitching. In the last 15 days it has a team ERA of 4.69, which ranks 27th in the league. As for the Phillies, they sit in first with a 1.97 team ERA. I think the Phillies have the edge on the mound and at the plate.
Under 9.5 (-110)
Suarez is having a Cy Young type of year, and just because they are in a different country now doesn’t mean he’ll struggle. The Phillies are likely to score their fair share of runs in this ballGame, but they have limited their opponents to only 1.6 runs per Game in their last 7 Games. If fans are hoping to see a high-scoring affair, they may have to wait another day. The under is a good bet given how effective Suarez and the Phillies’ bullpen have been all year.
Ranger Suarez to record 6+ strikeouts (+134)
Suarez is an amazing 9-1 with a 1.70 ERA so far in 2024. He has struck out 79 batters in 74.0 innings. The left-hander has recorded at least 9 Ks in 3 of his last 6 starts and at least 6 in 7 of his last 10. He completely befuddled the Mets to the tune of 5.0 scoreless innings when these 2 division rivals squared off last month and more dominance should ensue on Saturday. Getting 6+ so far into plus money is an absolute steal.
