Shortly after the disastrous launch of her namesake bathing suit line, Kylie Jenner released a swimsuit collection, which has already garnered backlash on social media.
Fans weren’t persuaded that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s upcoming swimsuit line, Khy Vacation Shop, would be any different from her previous collection when she revealed it will have ‘buttery soft swim with 90s-inspired shapes’.
The 26-year-old billionaire debuted her swimwear line in 2021, and the pieces, which were criticised for being nearly see-through, received harsh criticism on social media.
The reality star faced criticism in her TikTok and YouTube comment sections as soon as she announced on Instagram earlier in July that she would be launching another bikini line under her new company, Khy.
Reviews for the collection are incredibly split; some think it’s better than Kylie Swim, while others question why she feels the need to keep making swimwear.
The reaction to Khy’s drop 008 on Kylie’s Instagram comments area from her 398 million fans was not positive.
Her last swimwear line was awful, wasn’t it? Why would anyone purchase apparel from her? A commenter asked a question.
“Please not again with the swimsuit girl,” pleaded another individual to the mother of two.
One guy recalled, “I think the internet is still traumatised from Kylie Swim.”
A commenter asked, “So you had leftover Kylie swim stuff or what?”
The swimsuits were only attractive on Kardashian-esque bodies, as several people pointed out. One person wrote, ‘This looks very cheap and flat on ordinary bodies (like mine).’
Many others questioned how it would vary from the unsuccessful swim line. One person said, “I don’t understand how is this going to be any different than Kylie Swim since she still hasn’t addressed it.” another producer? distinct materials?
After Kylie Swim, swimwear designer Jessica Anderson, 30, posted a TikTok video of herself trying on the collection and criticising it as a “swim fail” that “just keeps getting worse.”
