Newcastle United can move closer to the European spaces in the Premier League this Monday when they Travel to Chelsea.

The Magpies have lost just one of their last six games, but have also only managed three wins in that period as Eddie Howe's side still struggle for consistency. However, Newcastle did get back to winning ways last time out during their 3-0 home victory over Wolves.

Newcastle are still battling with plenty of injury concerns ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge, with Nick Pope, Joelinton, Callum Wilson and now Kieran Trippier all sidelined. The Magpies still have plenty of quality in their ranks though, and have the confidence boost of having beaten Chelsea 4-1 at St James' Park earlier this season.

Here's how they could line up in west London.

GK: Martin Dubravka - The Slovakian international was in strong form against Wolves last time out and may be busy again on Monday night - often when the goalkeeper is at his best.

RB: Tino Livramento - With Trippier now injured for the next few weeks at the very least, Livramento is set for a run in the starting lineup. The youngster will need to replace the attacking output of his senior right-back teammate.

CB: Fabian Schar - Another impressive display from the Swiss international last time out, his consistency and fitness has been key for Newcastle this term.

CB: Sven Botman - The Dutchman has been a class act in the black and white of Newcastle and will need to be on top of his Game to cope with the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson.

LB: Dan Burn - The lanky full-back has had some difficult afternoons in recent weeks and will be kept honest by the relentless Malo Gusto bombing up and down the right flank.

CM: Sean Longstaff - The midfielder has played pretty much every minute of every game since the turn of the year, with Longstaff a firm favourite of Howe.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes - The Brazilian could be key to unlocking Chelsea's backline with his deep-lying playmaking, while he will have to win physical duels with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in both halves.

CM: Joe Willock - The 24-year-old has endured a difficult campaign with injuries but is slowly being eased back into the starting lineup since his latest return.

RW: Miguel Almiron - Faces stiff comPetition for his starting berth with the similarly indefatigable Jacob Murphy, but the Paraguayan could return to the starting lineup at Stamford Bridge given his attacking and defensive qualities.

ST: Alexander Isak - The Swede found the back of the net against Wolves for the first time since mid-January, and the goalscoring burden will fall on his shoulders again at Stamford Bridge given Wilson's injury.

LW: Anthony Gordon - Newcastle's best player this season, the electric winger now has three goals in his last four games. Given he was close to a Chelsea move not too long ago, it will be interesting to see how Gordon fares in west London.
