It took 56 years for the New York Yankees to once again participate in a Game on Mexican soil, and this weekend they will contest two matches against the Mexican Red Devils, Los Diablos Rojos. The Bronx Bombers have announced the roster of players who will journey south of the border to comPete at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.

Who will play for the Yankees in Mexico?

Despite the notable absence of key players such as Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, the Yankees will field renowned athletes like Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Volpe, alongside Mexican talents José Treviño, Víctor González, and José Rojas.

The Yankees have also added two of the top Mexican prospects to their ranks to face off against the Diablos: infielder Jared Serna and pitcher Luis Serna. The Latin flavor will certainly not be lacking in the Yankees’ lineup, as they have included Nicaraguan Jonathan Loáisiga, Venezuelans Oswaldo Cabrera, Carlos Narváez, and Jesús Rodríguez, alongside Dominicans Dennis Santana, Óscar González, Luis Velasquez, and Nelson Medina.

Aaron Boone has already selected the starters who will face the ‘Pingos,’ with trust placed in the arms of Tanner Tully and Dennis Santana to take the mound first at the Harp Helú.

For their part, the Diablos have assembled a roster worthy of competing with the Yankees, with the additions of American Trevor Bauer and Dominican Robinson Canó.

With two Games lined up in Mexico for the famous New York team, Santiago Harp, Vice President of the Devils, reflected on the long-held dream during the Padres-Yankees series at Yankee Stadium last year. Initiating discussions was Omar Minaya, a colleague at the Yankees, paving the way for the realization of this shared aspiration. Harp expressed the enduring desire to recreate this dream for their generation to experience once more.
