Last night takeaways

Although we saw the third night of the newly formed In-Seeason Tournament, we still don’t have teams without a chance to attend the Final Tournament.

Wolves vs Warriors

Draymond Green, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors, and Jaden McDaniels of the Minnesota Timberwolves were ejected for the altercation that disrupted just two minutes in the game, with the score 0-0.

Haliburton flawless

Haliburton has been leading the way with his remarkable performance. He remained calm in the Game against the Pennsylvania team, scoring 33 points, 15 assists, seven rebounds, two steals, and one block. These statistics are fantastic, but what’s truly incredible is his confidence with the ball. In the past two Games, he has accumulated 32 assists without committing a single turnover, a feat that no one in the History of the NBA has ever achieved.

Wembanyama vs Holmgren

In an NBA In-Season Tournament game, Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs faced off against Chet Holmgren’s Thunder in a showdown of towering basketball players that may go down in history. Holmgren’s team emerged victorious in a decisive 123-87 win at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Victor Wembanyama, first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, had his worst Game in his short NBA career, scoring only 8 points. He made 4 of his 12 2-point shots and missed all 3 of his attempted triples. On the other hand, Chet Holmgren, the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in 30 minutes of play. Despite missing the previous year due to a severe injury, he is completing his rookie season with impressive stats.

Champions Nuggets strong against the Clippers

The Denver Nuggets played a one-game homestand against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night, marking their second NBA Cup game. Despite a strong performance from Paul George for the Clippers and James Harden’s best scoring outing in a Clippers uniform, Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets to victory.

The Clippers’ lack of size proved their downfall, with Jokic dominating in the post and on the glass. He received offensive support from former Clipper Reggie Jackson and Aaron Gordon. Although Denver fell behind late, they made a comeback and secured a 111-108 win.
