Former Celtic central defender Moritz Jenz has found yet another new club.

Despite impressing several fans, the German’s loan spell with the Hoops was cut short after six months.

He returned to his parent club Lorient before swiftly completing another temporary switch to FC Schalke in the Bundesliga.

Jenz then moved permanently to Wolfsburg last summer. After making 23 appearances for the club last year, he has now left on loan for fellow Bundesliga outfit Mainz:

Die Nullfunfer are the third new club Jenz has joined since leaving Celtic. He is turning into somewhat of a journeyman in German Football.

Loved by many Hoops supporters, the 25-year-old enjoyed his time in Glasgow. He rarely let the club down, making 19 appearances across his short Parkhead stint.

Some fans were eager to see him return when word surfaced he was available on loan, but nothing ever materialised.

Instead, the Bhoys are in for Sheffield United central defender Auston Trusty. The Blades reportedly want £6m for his services, but whether the Hoops are willing stump up the cash remains to be seen.
