MLB free agency: When can teams officially sign players?
The Rangers have etched their names in the annals of baseball History, solidifying their status as the pinnacle of the sport. In a thrilling five-Game series, the team emerged victorious over the Arizona Diamondbacks, securing a historic championship for the franchise.
Following the conclusion of the thrilling World Series, the highly anticipated 2023-24 offseason has now commenced, ushering in a flurry of exciting events just on the horizon. But none like the free agency and what teams will be able to procure for the coming season.
But when does the MLB free agency begin, and teams can sign players?
November 6 is when the free agency begins once the five-day exclusive negotiating period ends and players are truly free. They can negotiate and sign with any team as of this date. Don’t expect much to happen on the first day, but follow closely, as the following days will tell where teams go.
