The Milwaukee Brewers and the Minnesota Twins meet Saturday in MLB action from Target Field. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Milwaukee Brewers will send out Freddy Peralta for the start here and Peralta is 6-5 with a 4.11 ERA and 130 strikeouts this season. This will be Peralta’s second career start against the Twins. The Minnesota Twins will start Pablo Lopez here and Lopez is 8-7 with a 5.11 ERA and 121 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against the Brewers, Lopez is 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA and 36 strikeouts.

Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this one looking to right the ship in the second half after a slide of series losses, culminating with a 9-3 loss in their series finale against Washington which followed series losses to the Pirates and Dodgers over the last two weeks.

Brewers Still Holding On In NL Central

William Contreras leads the Brewers with 108 hits including 23 doubles and 55 RBIs along with 11 home runs and a .352 OBP while Rhys Hoskins has 14 home runs with 46 RBIs and Willy Adames has 23 doubles with 15 home runs and 67 RBIs. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 30 stolen bases while Adames has a team-high 95 strikeouts as well this season.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

  • The Brewers have won seven of their last eight night games against AL Central opponents.
  • The Twins have lost six of their last seven night games against teams that held a winning record.
  • The Brewers have covered the run line in eight of their last nine night games against American League opponents that held a winning record.
  • The Twins have failed to cover the run line in eight of their last 10 home games against teams that held a winning record.

Minnesota Twins Recap

The Minnesota Twins come into this one looking to keep their momentum up after a hot streak to enter the all-star break but fell short in their series finale against the Giants, losing the rubber match to San Francisco by a final score of 3-2, ending their series win streak after taking down the Astros and White Sox in the last two weeks.

Twins Trying To Claw Back In AL Central

Willi Castro leads the Twins at the dish with 90 hits including 22 doubles and 5 triples as well as 30 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Ryan Jeffers has a team-high 14 home runs, 47 RBIs and 17 doubles with a .244 batting average and .326 OBP. Carlos Santana has 13 home runs with 41 RBIs while Carlos Correa has 13 home runs, 47 RBIs and 16 doubles. Jose Miranda has 21 doubles and Castro has a team-high 88 strikeouts so far this season.

Why the Minnesota Twins will win

  • The Twins have won each of their last eight night games against the Brewers following a loss.
  • The Brewers have lost each of their last four games at Target Field following a win.
  • The Twins have covered the run line in each of their last nine night games against the Brewers following a loss.
  • The Brewers have failed to cover the run line in eight of their last nine road games against AL Central opponents following a win.

Minnesota Twins vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’m leaning towards the Twins here. Not a Game I’m rushing to bet, but as much as the Brewers could really use a win in this series, it’s hard to get behind them given their run of form entering the all-star break. The Twins have still been playing solid baseball, and even if the starting pitching cancels out, I think you have to give a significant edge in the bullpen to the Twins as well. Give me Minnesota here.
