The Cincinnati Reds and the Milwaukee Brewers meet Saturday in MLB action from American Family Field. Here’s a Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Brewers vs Reds pick.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

In their last series the Reds played the Miami Marlins. Cincinnati lost 6-4 in Game three but otherwise took a trio of wins for a series victory. On Friday the Reds lost 8-3, giving up all eight runs in the first three innings. Carson Spiers put up 5.0 innings in the start with eight earned runs.

In the starter slot for the Reds on Saturday it’ll be Nick Martinez. So far Martinez is 6-5 with a 3.43 ERA in 32 Games (six starts). Martinez is 33-43 with a 4.21 ERA in 230 Games (93 starts).

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

Over on the Brewers’ side, they took on the Atlanta Braves this week. Milwaukee played well in that one, taking a sweep in three Games. On Friday the Brewers made the most of seven team hits in the victory. Starter Aaron Civale managed 6.1 innings with two earned runs.

It’ll be Tobias Myers in the starter role for the Brewers on Saturday. This year Myers is 6-5 with a 3.02 ERA in the first 17 Games (16 starts) of his career.

Milwaukee Brewers vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction

I’ll try the Brewers here. We should have a fun starter matchup, though. Myers is 0-2 in his last three appearances but he hasn’t played badly. In that span he’s got just four earned runs in 14.1 innings of work. As for Martinez, he’s posted just one earned in his last 10.0 innings, going 2-0 in those three appearances.

On Friday the Brewers got a couple of big homers from Brice Turang and Willy Adames, two swings that totaled five RBI. The offense was very well-rounded; everybody got on base and also had a run or an RBI. Milwaukee got quieter in the late innings, but it was still a nice effort. I like them to keep it up in Game two.
