The New York Mets and the Miami Marlins meet Monday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction. This will be the final installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

This past weekend the Mets took on the Colorado Rockies. New York won the first two installments of that set before an 8-5 Sunday loss. After splitting the first two Games with the Marlins, in Game three Sunday the Mets took a 4-2 loss. Starter Christian Scott finished with 4.0 innings and three earned runs.

In the starter gig for the Monday finale the Mets will send out David Peterson. This year Peterson is 4-0 with a 3.09 ERA in eight starts. He’s 22-21 with a 4.35 career ERA in 88 Games (72 starts).

It’ll be Yonny Chirinos in the starter role for the Marlins on Monday. This year Chirinos is 0-1 with a 5.76 ERA in five starts. Chirinos is 20-16 with a 4.15 career ERA in 74 Games (43 starts).

Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction

I’ll stay with the Mets I suppose. Peterson is doing well right now. He’s got four earned runs over his last three starts in 16.2 total innings. As for Chirinos, he’s coming off eight earned in 5.2 frames in a loss to the Reds.

On Sunday the Mets really only had one bad inning on the mound but it was enough to create an insurmountable deficit. New York really couldn’t get much going on eight team hits either. I like the Mets to bounce back and even things up but I’m probably not touching it.
