The Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Marlins meet Tuesday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds prediction. This will be the second installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Marlins vs Reds Pick.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

The Reds played a weekend series versus the San Francisco Giants. Cincinnati won 6-4 in the Saturday Game but otherwise fell 3-0 and 8-2 to drop the set. On Monday versus the Marlins, the Reds rolled to a 10-3 win. Nick Martinez went 5.0 clean frames with four hits in the start.

In the starter slot for the Reds on Tuesday it’ll be Nick Lodolo. So far Lodolo is 8-4 with a 3.99 ERA in 17 starts. In his career Lodolo is 14-12 with a 4.18 ERA in 43 starts.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they took on the Atlanta Braves over the weekend. Miami didn’t play terribly in that one, splitting the series with wins 4-3 and 7-0 in the last two Games. On Monday the Marlins were out-hit 15-11 and fell behind 7-0 early. Starter Roddery Munoz went 3.2 innings with four earned runs.

It’ll be Max Meyer in the starter role for the Marlins on Tuesday. This year Meyer is 2-1 with a 3.81 ERA in five starts. Over seven career starts Meyer is 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA.

Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction

I might take a stab on the Marlins. Probably not touching it, though. Meyer has been a little shaky over his last two starts, and he’ll need a good one here. In that pair Meyer is 0-1 with seven earned runs in 9.0 innings on 11 hits and three walks.

On Monday the Marlins got some solid offensive efforts but couldn’t cash in on much. If there’s good news, it’s that Miami only used two pitchers: Munoz and Shaun Anderson. That said, Meyer will have his hands full trying to notch a quality start Tuesday. It’s a possibility but I’m likely staying away.
