The Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Marlins meet Monday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds prediction. This will be the first installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

The Reds are fresh off a series versus the San Francisco Giants. After splitting the first two Games 3-0 (loss) and 6-4 (win) in the rubber match Cincinnati took an 8-2 loss. Starter Carson Spiers gave up three earned in 5.2 innings.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they took on the Atlanta Braves this past weekend. Miami lost two of the first three games in that set. On Sunday the Marlins rolled to a shutout win 7-0 to tie the series. Edward Cabrera put up 5.0 clean frames in the starting role.

As starting pitcher in Monday’s matchup the Marlins will go with Roddery Munoz. This year Munoz is 2-5 with a 5.45 ERA in the first 13 Games (12 starts) of his MLB career. The Marlins will face the Padres and Phillies following this series.

Miami Marlins vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction

I might take a stab on the Marlins. Munoz has a couple of pretty good starts and one bad one in his last three outings, going 5.0 innings each time. In the two good ones Munoz put up three earned in 10.0 innings. In the other, he went 5.0 innings with six earned on six hits and two walks. If Munoz can manage a quality start here Miami should be set up well.

On Sunday the Marlins had one big inning—six runs in the fourth—and pitched well enough to finish off the victory. The pen was great on 4.0 innings, three hits and one walk. Everyone but Jesus Sanchez (0-for-5) got on base as well. I could see the Marlins keeping things rolling Monday after a fairly decent weekend series versus a good Braves team.
