Baltimore took on the Texas Rangers over the weekend. The O’s won the first two installments of that set before a 3-2 loss in the finale. In their opener matchup versus the Marlins on Tuesday, the Orioles took a 6-3 loss. Starter Albert Suarez finished with 2.0 innings and six earned.

In the starter role for the Wednesday Game, the Orioles will send out Chayce McDermott. This will be McDermott’s MLB debut.

Over on the Marlins’ side, they took on the New York Mets in their last set. Miami managed a 6-4 win Friday and a 4-2 win Sunday but lost the other pair. In their Tuesday matchup, the Marlins scored four in the second inning and never looked back. Kyle Tyler had 4.2 innings with three earned on nine hits and two walks as starter.

It’ll be Edward Cabrera in the starter role for the Marlins on Wednesday. This year Cabrera is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA in eight starts. Cabrera is 14-17 with a 4.49 ERA in 51 career Games (49 starts).

Miami Marlins vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I might try the Marlins in this one. Cabrera had a pretty rough couple of starts early this month, going 0-1 in 7.0 combined innings with nine earned on 10 hits and a walk. Cabrera didn’t pitch too badly in his last outing though, with one earned in 4.2 innings versus the Mets.

On Tuesday the Marlins had a couple of good offensive innings early and the bullpen did the rest. Miami got 4.1 frames from the pen, giving up no hits, no walks, no runs and recording seven strikeouts. It’d be nice to see the bats last a little longer, but if Cabrera has a good start the Marlins will be set up well.
