The Boston Celtics got bombed out of the American Airlines Center in Game 4 of the NBA Finals as the Dallas Mavericks avoided the sweep. The scene shifts back to TD Garden, where Boston tries to wrap up Title 18 in front of the home fans.

We also get another kick at the betting can, and we’ve lined up our favorite NBA player props and rolled them into a nice same-Game parlay.

Our NBA picks start with the guy who should still lock down Finals MVP if he plays well in Game 5.

Mavericks vs Celtics parlay picks June 17

  • Brown Under 2.5 threes
  • Irving Under 23.5 points
  • Kleber Under 0.5 threes

Jaylen Brown Under 2.5 threes

Irving Under 23.5 points

Maxi Kleber Under 0.5 threes

+355 at DraftKings

In his first-ever title closeout game, Jaylen Brown fizzled, shooting just 3-for-12 from the field for 10 points — his lowest scoring output in these playoffs. Brown’s struggles from distance have been a problem even when his overall results haven't been. He shot 1-for-5 from beyond the arc in Game 4 and has yet to knock down three triples in a game in these Finals.

Brown has shot 6-for-25 from 3-point range against the Dallas Mavericks, a paltry 24% clip, through four games.

Brown’s real strength, and the reason the Boston Celtics built a big lead in this series, is how he attacks the rim, which Dallas hasn’t had an answer for. Look for Brown to do what he does best in his second closeout opportunity.

Kyrie Irving has been playing better, but he’s still not scoring at a clip worthy of his 23.5 scoring line.

He potted 21 on 10-for-18 shooting in Game 4, the third time this series he’s finished with fewer than 24 points.

Irving’s struggles in Boston are well documented, as he shot 35% and averaged just 14 points in the first two Games of the Finals. Including the regular season, he’s gone five straight Games scoring 20 or less at TD.

Boston just happens to have the defenders who can make life tough for Irving. Kyrie is going to contribute, but it’s going to take multiple Maverick scorers and efforts to bring this one back to Dallas.

Reserve Maxi Kleber is not one of those Mavericks who can be counted on to run up the score.

Credit him for toughing it out with a shoulder injury that doesn’t at all seem healed, but he’s not comfortable shooting. Kleber hit his first 3-pointer of the Finals in the blowout win, but he’s taken four triples through the entire series.

At this point, he’s out there for screening and defense, with shooting the last thing on his mind.
