The Dallas Mavericks have reached situation critical as we arrive in Big D for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.

A Celtics win and it’s pretty much a wrap, as no team in league History has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit.

This might be one of our last hurrahs on the NBA betting front, so let’s make these prop picks count.

Below are my NBA picks for a three-legged same-game parlay as part of our Celtics vs. Mavs predictions on Wednesday, June 12.

Celtics vs Mavs parlay picks June 12

  • Holiday Over 6.5 rebounds
  • Irving Over 2.5 threes
  • Tatum Under 27.5 points

Best Celtics vs Mavs parlay picks for Wednesday

Jrue Holiday Over 6.5 rebounds

Kyrie Irving Over 2.5 threes

Jayson Tatum Under 27.5 points

Jrue Holiday looks like a guy who’s been here before, and he’s an NBA Finals MVP odds candidate coming off Game 2.

Holiday shot 11-for-14 for 26 points and 11 boards, all while trading off between guarding Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.

While his scoring has fluctuated, his rebounding has been rock steady, and the books have him at plus odds for a makeable 6.5 rebounds in Game 3. He’s cruised past that number in both Finals games and has grabbed at least seven rebounds in four straight and in seven of his last nine playoff games.

Holiday’s do-everything effort should have him stuffing major stat sheets again on Wednesday.

He’s outshined the other guy with major Finals burn in Irving, who has shot a wobbly 13-for-37 (35.1%) and not hit a 3-pointer in eight attempts over the two games.

So why take the Over on his 2.5 make line in Game 3? Because there’s nowhere else to go but up — and no one else on the Dallas roster can ride shotgun with Doncic and make this a series. Irving has had only one other brutal two-game stretch like the nightmare games in Boston, scoring a total of 21 points in Games 4 and 5 against the OKC Thunder.

He bounced back from that with four triples and 22 points in the Game 6 clincher.

Speaking of underperforming, Jayson Tatum is getting an exceptional free pass for his lifeless Game 1 and 2 efforts, where he shot a combined 12-for-38. But there’s no panic button on Tatum, who happens to play on a squad that can carry him to a chip without him needing to force the issues.

He’s averaged 10 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the series, so he's contributing in other areas while others pick up the scoring slack. A 2-0 series lead means no pressure here (yet), and while Tatum may crack 20 for the first time this series, no one on the Celtics has topped 28 points in either game. Another team effort likely means a third straight too.
