Marko surprised by Verstappen's team order refusal
Helmut Marko was surprised by Max Verstappen's refusal to let Sergio Perez pass in the Brazilian Grand Prix, breaking team orders.
Verstappen was instructed to let Perez pass on the final lap to aid his push for P2 in the Drivers' Championship, but refused, saying he had his reasons for doing so.
Perez retorted that Verstappen "showed who he really is" as the Mexican now goes level on points with Charles Leclerc into the Abu Dhabi finale.
Reacting to the controversial moment, Marko simply said that: "Red Bull's goal is to take second place in the championship with Checo, and Max must do everything he can to help him with that.
"That's all I want to say about it," said the Austrian.
