Luka Doncic On Who Mavericks’ True Leader Is

The Dallas Mavericks earned an impressive 132-96 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.

Luka Doncic finished the outing with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Kyrie Irving chipped in 24 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds, too.

Many regard Doncic as the clear cut leader of the Mavericks, but in his own words, that isn’t in fact the case.

“He’s the Batman, I’m the Robin,” Doncic said of Irving following the Kings game.

The Mavericks are currently 43-29 and sit sixth in the Western Conference. Just 2.5 games separate them from the fourth-place Los Angeles Clippers, who are having some real issues right now.

They are firing on all cylinders right now in a way nobody expected them to when Irving first showed up. And he seems to love his new situation as much as anyone.

“I have my own beliefs and views,” he said recently.

The Mavericks are looking real scary with the NBA Playoffs rapidly approaching.

Can Doncic and Irving shock the world and bring another championship to Dallas in 2024? Time will tell.
