The Dodgers (-400) will cost 4 times the potential return, which is way too much risk for not enough reward … on either a standalone bet or as part of a multi-leg parlay.
Over time, you cannot play such heavy favorites and expect to be ahead. It’s just a poor long-term betting strategy.

Run line/Against the spread
The DODGERS -1.5 (-175) are worth playing lightly on the run line, although the Angels have been doing a decent job as underdogs in the past 7-10 days. However, the Halos cannot be trusted with Plesac on the bump.
In fact, the best bet here might be to back the DODGERS -1.5 (-140) FIRST 5 INNINGS, as they should be able to jump all over the veteran Plesac, who is making his 1st road start for the Angels.
Over/Under
OVER 8.5 (-110) is the play, as the high-octane Dodgers look to get back on track against a pitcher making just his 2nd start of the season. Plesac was atrocious on the road last season. Until he proves he has changed, you have to keep going against him as far as the total is concerned.
Be careful not to play this total too heavily, though, as the Dodgers have seen the Under cash at a 5-1 clip across the past 6 home Games. However, the Over is 10-3 for the Angels across the previous 13 contests on the road.
