Lauri Markkanen and Brandon Ingram are both on the verge of being traded.

Over the past few days, a number of notable NBA superstars have changed teams. Klay Thompson. Paul George, Dejounte Murray. The list is endless.

As the dust has settled a bit, two players have emerged as the most sought-after talents available right now: Markkanen and Ingram.

Each seems increasingly likely to go to a different team.

In the case of Markkanen – two squads are currently vying for his services. The Los Angeles Lakers’ best offer for him is a matter of public record. That said, given how it compares to the Golden State Warriors’ best offer, it is hard to see a scenario where L.A. is able to get him.

Similarly, Ingram is another fascinating player to keep an eye on. Yes, he is a bit of a kooky character what with his first love being a little person and all, but on the court he could help out a lot of teams on the verge of contending.

“Attempts in New Orleans to trade Brandon Ingram have intensified in recent days, league sources say,” NBA insider Marc Stein wrote this week.

“Sources tell The Stein Line that on Ingram’s side, with the reality that the contract extension terms his camp had hoped for are not forthcoming from the Pelicans, there has likewise been an exploration of trade options.”

Ingram was most recently linked to a controversial 3-team trade involving the Lakers, but he has also been connected in various capacities to the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings.

Where will Markkanen and Ingram ultimately end up playing when everything is said and done? Time will tell.
