Kings at Golden Knights projected goalies

David Rittich (2-1-0, 2.36 GAA, .891 SV%) vs. Adin Hill (2-2-0, 3.81 GAA, .851 SV%)

Rittich was the winning goaltender in this back-to-back wins in Montreal and Anaheim, bouncing back after allowing 4 goals on 14 shots in Toronto Oct. 16. He was pulled midway through the 2nd period in that Game against the Leafs.

Hill has been shaky so far, allowing at least 3 goals in each of his 4 starts, and conceding at least 4 goals in 3 of those outings. On home ice, he has allowed 7 goals on 54 shots, but he benefitted from 12 goals of offensive support in those 2 victories.

Kings at Golden Knights picks and predictions

Prediction

Golden Knights 4, Kings 3

Moneyline

The GOLDEN KNIGHTS (-145) are worth playing lightly as moderate favorites against the road-weary Kings (+120). L.A. has handled itself well in this road odyssey to start the season, but a trip to Vegas is a tough way to wrap things up, even if Hill has been a little on the giving side.

Puck line/Against the spread

The Kings +1.5 (-210) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return, and that’s just too expensive for a little bit of insurance.

If you were to include the Kings into a multi-leg parlay, it would be OK, but as a standalone wager it is just too expensive with not enough return.

PASS.

Over/Under

OVER 6 (+100) at even-money is a sound play.

Again, Hill has allowed 15 goals in just 4 starts so far, with the Over going 5-1 in 6 games for the Golden Knights. They have scored 3 or more goals in 5 of their outings, while allowing 4 or more goals 4 times.

The Kings have cashed low in 4 of 6 games, but the Over is 2-2 in the past 4 games, with the Kings allowed 14 goals in a 2-game span in Ottawa and Toronto Oct. 14-16.
