The Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet Saturday in MLB action from Dodger Stadium. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a LA Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Milwaukee Brewers will send out Freddy Peralta here and Peralta is 6-4 with a 3.83 ERA and 120 strikeouts this season. In his career, Peralta is 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 21 strikeouts against the Dodgers. James Paxton will the start for the Dodgers here and is 7-2 with a 4.28 ERA and 53 strikeouts this season. This will be Paxton’s first career start against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers will be out to bounce back after starting the series with an 8-5 loss at the hands of the Dodgers in Friday’s series opener. The loss put the Brewers at risk of another series without a win after settling for a split with the Colorado Rockies in their four-Game set to start the week.

Brewers Still Holding On Atop NL Central

Going into Friday’s opener, William Contreras leads the Brewers with 104 hits including 20 doubles and 51 RBIs along with 10 home runs and a .357 OBP while Rhys Hoskins has 11 home runs with 38 RBIs and Willy Adames has 18 doubles with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 28 stolen bases while Adames has a team-high 81 strikeouts as well this season.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

  • The Dodgers have lost each of their last four games as home favorites following a win.
  • The Brewers have won seven of their last eight Saturday games as road underdogs.
  • The Brewers have covered the run line in each of their last eight Saturday games as road underdogs.
  • The Dodgers have failed to cover the run line in each of their last four day games against NL Central opponents following a win.

Los Angeles Dodgers Recap

The Los Angeles Dodgers come into this one looking to keep the momentum going after a strong showing offensively in Friday’s opener. The win put the Dodgers on the right track to bounce back from back-to-back series losses to the Diamondbacks and Giants over the last week.

Dodgers Running Away With NL West

Entering Friday’s action, Shohei Ohtani has 106 hits including a team-high 27 home runs, 22 doubles and 64 RBIs with a .316 batting average while Mookie Betts has 86 hits with 16 doubles, 3 triples, 10 homers and 40 RBIs of his own, but continues to miss time because of an injury. Teoscar Hernandez also has 19 home runs with 59 RBIs and a team-high 102 strikeouts. Betts also has 9 stolen bases while Ohtani has a team-high 17 stolen bases. Freddie Freeman also has 56 RBIs with 25 doubles and Will Smith has added 18 doubles, 11 home runs and 50 RBIs.

Why the Los Angeles Dodgers will win

  • The Brewers have lost each of their last 10 games against the Dodgers following a road loss.
  • The Dodgers have won each of their last 11 Saturday day games against NL Central opponents that held a winning record.
  • The favorites have covered the run line in eight of the last nine games between the Brewers and Dodgers.
  • The Brewers have failed to cover the run line in nine of their last 10 games against the Dodgers following a road loss.

LA Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’m going to side with the Brewers here. I like what I’ve seen from Freddy Peralta in spots and he’s statistically been better on the road this season. James Paxton’s had a lot of issues with control, and while the Dodgers have been able to win a lot of Paxton’s outings, I think the Brewers are a talented enough lineup to make you pay for mistakes like that. Give me the Brew Crew in this one.

Chris Ruffolo's Free Pick: Milwaukee +105
