Kubica 'comfortable' with F1 career potentially ending
Robert Kubica says that he doesn't know when he will next drive a Formula 1 car, conceding that his career as a driver could be over.
The 2008 Canadian Grand Prix winner last raced competitively in F1 with Alfa Romeo in 2021 for the Dutch and Italian Grands Prix, after Kimi Raikkonen tested positive for Covid.
Kubica was later given practice outings at Paul Ricard and Yas Marina in 2022 with Alfa Romeo, as part of terms with title sponsor Orlen - a Polish oil company.
When asked if it could be his last time driving, Kubica said: "I don't know" to media, including TheFOXposts.Com, but acknowledged that he would want to be useful to teams with any future deal.
"The only reason I'm still here is that I get a chance to drive sometimes as reserve, but this weekend probably will be the end.
"There is our main partner of Alfa Romeo, Orlen. We need to first decide what they want to do and then probably I will talk with all the parties.
"Whatever it will be, if it's with this team or different team, it will be to see if I can be involved and if I can be useful.
"Because I also don't want to be here if I'm not useful."

Kubica: At 38 years old you shouldn't be surprised if you don't get a drive
Kubica said that he is "comfortable" with this possibly being the end of his career in F1, adding that he has always been realistic about his chances.
He last did a full season in F1 with Williams in 2019, before being replaced by Nicholas Latifi.
He added: "I'm comfortable and, in the end, I have been always very realistic.
"Let's be honest at 38 years of age, it's not that you would be surprised if you will not get a drive anymore."
