With the new season of The White Lotus being filmed in Koh Samui, who’s to say they can’t stay for one more? Not you, for when you finish that resort construction, move the crew from the Four Seasons to your place, and let them star you playing all the characters. Perhaps you bring back Jennifer Coolidge from the dead, or let the gays try to murder her again. The world is your oyster.

Brand yourself as a supervillain and build a base waiting for international spies to visit

Koh Kham features an array of volcanic rock formations, and that’s close enough to a volcano. Arguably the most common way to utilise a volcanic island is to transform it into a supervillain base to take over the world with your evil ways. Naturally, a base comes with a subtle hint that it’s a villain’s lair, a launch pad in case you’re launching a rocket to bomb any satellites, and, of course, air vents for people infiltrating to stealthily Travel through the premises.

Start a cult, establish yourself as a messenger from an eldritch being

In case you need more income, starting a cult was one of the more popular options when people didn’t have cameras on their phones. A remote island, however, is a perfect place to start a cult. Island vibes seem like the right call for an eldritch being kind of cult. Establish some ground rules, do unlimited canapes, rope Tom Cruise in, and profit.
