Kelly Stafford addressed a very relatable parenting problem under some very unrelatable circumstances.
On the Tuesday, October 22 episode of her podcast “The Morning After,” Kelly, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, discussed her young daughters’ lack of focus when they attend one of their dad’s home games.
“There’s this section in the suite where the food is and you can sit and have a cocktail or something to eat, and my kids are sitting there coloring,” Kelly said. “I’m going, ‘Hey, there’s a reason I bring you to these Games. To be honest, this is a wasted ticket. You could do this at home, watch on TV and color.’”
Kelly added, “As much as I really want them to be there because I know their Dad wants them there, I’m also like, am I wasting money bringing you to these Games?”
Married since 2015, Matthew and Kelly share four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7, Hunter, 6 and Tyler, 4. The entire crew was in tow at SoFi Stadium for the Rams’ Sunday, October 20 showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders.
In addition to coloring books and supplies, Kelly said she also brings tablets for the girls to distract themselves with.
“We bring the coloring and the iPads so that they don’t have the tantrums and bother other people in the suite,” she explained. “Because people are there to watch the Game.”
Though Kelly added, “Part of me is like, maybe I just don’t bring anything and then they learn.”
While having to keep all four girls happy and engaged is certainly no easy feat, Kelly said it doesn’t stop her from trying.
“I feel like I expect a lot,” she admitted. “Listen, your dad is out there. You need to pay attention and ask questions.”
Luckily, at least one of Kelly’s daughters appears to have caught the Football bug. “Chandler, one of the twins, she’s very, very curious about the sport and is always watching and asking,” Kelly gushed.

“I think my parents were wildly impressed with my kids in the suite,” Kelly said.
