Justin Timberlake helped one lucky couple have an unforgettable date night!
On Monday, Oct. 7, the 10-time Grammy winner, 43, shared the spotlight during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour and allowed a fan to pop the question to his girlfriend at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“I see a sign that says, ‘May I propose to Sarah?’ ” Timberlake said, pausing his show to acknowledge a man who was holding a handwritten poster in the floor seats section.
The audience went wild, and many pulled out their cellphones to record the sweet moment as the “Cry Me a River” hitmaker smiled.
“You ready?” Timberlake asked the fan before double checking to see which woman next to him was Sarah. He then handed his microphone to the fan, adding brief words of encouragement: “You got it.”
The crowd continued to cheer the couple on as the guest composed himself before popping the question.
“I love you, you’re my best friend. Will you marry me?” he asked.
Sarah’s “Yes” was visible thanks to the arena’s screens, and the audience screamed out in support of the newly engaged couple. Sarah leapt into her fiancé’s arms and after an emotional hug, he placed the ring on her finger.
While passing the microphone back to Timberlake, the fan also thanked the singer for helping him with his once-in-a-lifetime proposal.
“Make some noise for Donald and Sarah!” the “Selfish” singer yelled out, before turning to the couple to personally congratulate them.
“I can’t top that. Alright, thank you. Have a good night everyone,” Timberlake joked before the crowd cheered for more music.
Donald and Sarah aren’t the only ones to have their love celebrated during Timberlake’s tour. On Oct. 4, the “No Angels” singer used his Montreal show to let his fans know that it was “a very special evening” for him.
“My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary,” he said as Jessica Biel watched him from the side of the stage.
“So, be nice to her, Montreal, because she’s sharing me with all of you guys tonight,” he quipped, adding, “I love you, baby.”
Timberlake later shared a sweet message on social media, posting a tour recap video on Instagram.
“We back! Thank you @jessicabiel for sharing our anniversary with Montreal. LOVE Y’ALL! #TFTWTOUR,” he captioned the post.
Biel, 42, and Timberlake said their “I do’s” in southern Italy in October 2012. They share sons, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 4.
Timberlake’s next show is at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, before making stops in Toronto, Chicago, New Orleans and more through the remainder of the year. Most of Timberlake’s tour includes international dates in 2025, with his last scheduled show being Paris in July.
