The biggest move of the offseason this past year saw the Milwaukee Bucks acquire Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Because Lillard is one of the biggest superstars in the NBA, in order to get him, Milwaukee had to sacrifice Jrue Holiday in the swap.

Holiday eventually landed with the best team in the NBA, the Boston Celtics, but he is still pretty salty about how everything went down. As is his wife.

This week, Holiday once again called out the shady Bucks over their treatment of him after he helped bring a championship to Milwaukee.

“I’m taking a nap, and I see a call from the GM [general manager], and I’m like, ‘I’ll call him back.’ Like, I’m deep in this nap too,” Holiday said in a recent conversation with Draymond Green on his podcast.

“And then two seconds later, my agent called me. So I pick up his call and he’s like, ‘You talk to him?’ I’m like, ‘Nah bro, I’m sleeping.’ He’s like, ‘Well, you just got traded, so you should probably call him back.’

“And then, I end up looking at my phone and he ended up texting me everything that was happening, like, ‘Yeah, we traded you here.’ He ended up saying that they traded me for Damian Lillard.”

To this day, Holiday still can’t believe that he didn’t get some sort of advanced warning that the move was a possibility.

“So I also had no clue,” he continued.

“I think for me, it was just a shock because at least let me know 24 hours in advance, not five minutes in advance. And maybe I am asking for too much.”

Holiday is one of the most respected players in the NBA. The Bucks ultimately treating him the way they did left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.
