Former Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has shown his delight at the club’s latest signing, Adam Idah, who has joined the Hoops on a permanent deal. Idah, who played a crucial role in Celtic’s success last season, returns to Parkhead after a successful loan spell that saw him make a significant impact.

During the latter half of last season, Idah was brought in on loan from Norwich City, where he quickly became a fan favourite. His performances, especially in the closing stages of the season, were nothing short of heroic.

Not only did Idah contribute vital goals in the league run-in, but his unforgettable last-minute winner against Rangers in the Scottish Cup final was the cherry on top. That goal ensured a perfect send-off for Joe Hart, who retired from professional Football at the end of the season, signing off with a domestic double.

The move for Idah has been in the works ever since that dramatic cup final, but it took until mid-August for Celtic to finally secure the Irish striker’s signature. The transfer could potentially set a new record fee for the club, signalling Celtic’s intent to build on their recent success.

Joe Hart, who has transitioned into life after Football, has been following Celtic’s matches closely. The former shot-stopper took to Instagram to share his excitement about Idah’s signing, posting: “don’t mind it” Hart’s new role as a pundit for BBC’s Match of the Day will keep him close to the Game, but his heart clearly remains with Celtic.
