Another Celtic Star Missing from Training

Earlier, we wrote about how Kyogo was missing from Celtic training on Friday, with his shoulder injury resurfacing last week against Hibs, but there was another star posted missing.

Alistair Johnston wasn’t pictured by SNS Group in training after he seemed to pick up a knock last week.

Johnston was substituted with about ten minutes remaining in last week’s Game, after looking like picking up a knock on the stroke of halftime. This will probably see Anthony Ralston stepping in as a replacement.

Ralston, a reliable backup, was likely in line for some Game time during this cup fixture anyway, with Brendan Rodgers saying that the Scotland international would feature more this season than he did last.

Celtic fans will be hopeful that Johnston’s injury is not severe, as his contributions on the right flank have become integral to the team since his arrival almost two years ago. The fact that he did play most of the second half suggests that it isn’t something too serious, but the manager will address the issue soon.
