Injured Puppy Collapses Into Jogger’s Hand Shortly After Being Spotted

Every single day, lots of dogs are out there, all by themselves, dealing with tough situations. Bad things can happen to them. But you know what? All they can do is wait, just waiting for someone kind to notice them and give them a warm home full of love and care. And here comes the story of Lilac, a brave dog with a broken jaw and a hurt leg. She was fighting hard to stay alive, all alone. Luckily, there finally came the day when a jogger in Atlanta, Georgia, spotted her hiding under a car. For this poor dog, it is like a glimmer of hope in a harsh world.

The dog had been viciously attacked by other dogs and unknown humans. She must have gone through some really tough times. However, when the good Samaritan approached her, the dog somehow managed to crawl out to meet her, as if she knew this wonderful girl was there to help her.

They quickly got her to New York-based Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs, and she immediately got the care she needed.

After a careful check-up, the vet found out that besides her broken leg and jaw, the poor dog had a bullet inside her abdomen! It’s incredible how she still wagged her tail when anyone showed her some love.

For a few days, things were really uncertain, but miraculously, the dog started getting better. In a post on their social media account, Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs shared how amazing she is—despite all the pain she’s been through, she’s loving and beautiful.

“Where there is a will, there’s a way. There is something about this little lambchop survivor, folks; she is so loving and beautiful,” shared Second Chance Rescue NYC Dogs.

And though she’s been through so much suffering, she’s still eager to connect with people and give love.

“She is the kind of dog that you literally have to get a grip, sit back and honor the connection with mutual openness. She has endured a lifetime of pain and horror yet she wants to love and give and connect.”

Sadly, her leg couldn’t be recovered, but the vets worked their magic to heal the rest of her. So now, even though she has only three legs, she’s making a full recovery.

Lilac is doing wonderfully now, surrounded by lots of love and attention. She’s not just part of a family, but a huge family that spans the whole world. Her rescuers are so grateful for the love and support everyone has shown her.

And there’s great news: After a little over a month of healing, Lilac found her forever home! She was adopted, and you can see how happy she is in the picture. She’ll stay in Georgia with her new family. The rescue group thanked the amazing medical team that saved her life and said that everything seemed to happen for a reason. Lilac didn’t deserve the tough times she went through, but now she’s safe and loved. It’s a story of awe and gratitude, and Lilac’s journey will continue to be guided by love.
