In the video, which Colombini uploaded to social media platform TikTok, the Cassowary Coast fisho jumps into the river before swimming to a boat nearby.

“It’s bloody hot, I tell you that,” he says.

“Better do a cliff jump off Tully River ... the boat’s going to pick us up when we jump off.

“We’ll see what happens aye?”

He then leaps into the water with his camera in hand.

Wildlife advocates have taken issue with the dangerous dive, and Colombini’s attitude towards entering a known spot for crocs.

“Look it’s really frustrating for us, our team works really hard to keep people in Croc Country safe and then you see stuff like this happen and it’s really disappointing,” Ren Bone from BeCrocWise Program said.

Two weeks ago, tourist Alistair McPhee filmed himself wading into croc-infested water at the Bloomfield River.

He was attacked and badly injured by a crocodile while his dog was killed.

The Department of Environment and Science said it has had enough of the ‘posts and boasts’.

“Most people in Croc Country know how to be croc wise and when everyone is doing the right thing it puts those few people who do the wrong thing at greater risk,” a spokesperson said.

“When people do stuff like this they’re ... putting their own lives at risk.”

The advice in croc areas is to stay out of the water and keep at least five metres from the edge to be safe.
