The Los Angeles Rams improved to 2-0 in the preseason by winning the battle of LA, taking out the Chargers by a final score of 13-9. After the Rams close out the preseason, they’ll kick off the regular season by heading to Ford Field to battle the Detroit Lions in the season debut of Sunday night Football.

Rams Use Late Rally To Beat Texans

Stetson Bennett threw for 213 yards, a touchdown and an interception on 17 of 31 passing while Zach Evans led the Rams on the ground with 62 rushing yards on 16 carries and Boston Scott had 55 rushing yards on 10 carries as well. Jordan Whittington led the Rams in receiving with 5 grabs for 52 yards while JJ Laap had a pair of catches for 50 yards and a touchdown and Xavier Smith added 5 grabs of his own for 45 yards as well. On defense, Omar Speights led the Rams with 8 total tackles including 7 solo tackles while Jaylen McCollough has an interception as well.

Houston Texans Recap

The Houston Texans will try to build on their 2-1 mark in the preseason after back-to-back wins after a 28-10 win over the New York Giants last time out. After the Texans finish the preseason, they’ll Travel to Indianapolis to take on the Colts.

Texans Keep Rolling Offensively

Tim Boyle threw for 94 yards on 10 of 15 passing while C.J. Stroud threw for 88 yards on 7 of 10 passing. Case Keenum also had 73 passing yards and a touchdown in the win. J.J. Taylor led the Texans with 36 rushing yards while Cam Akers had 29 rushing yards. John Metchie III had a team-high 6 receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown to lead Houston’s receivers while Jawhar Jordan had 4 grabs for 42 yards and Dalton Schultz added 3 receptions for 39 yards. On defense, Mike Ford Jr. and Max Tooley each had a team-high 5 total tackles including 4 solo tackles while Jalen Pitre and Derek Stingley Jr. each had an interception with Pitre recording a pick-six.

Rams vs. Texans Prediction

I’m on the Texans here. I think we’ll still see some action from the Texans starters here, and even if we don’t, I feel like I’ve like what I’ve seen from Houston’s backups a lot more than the close calls that the Rams have had in their Games so far. Houston’s still a legitimate contender in the AFC and they’re not waiting until the regular season to show that even from the guys further down the depth chart. I’ll back Houston here.
