Here’s How Your Kids Can Bowl Free in the Hudson Valley All Summer Long
As parents and caregivers, we know first hand just how exhausting and expensive keeping our kids occupied all summer long can truly be. Between summer camps, staycations, vacations, and attending community events, it's hard to make it all happen without going broke, or going crazy.
This summer, a popular program that has become somewhat of a tradition will return to several Hudson Valley lanes.
Kids Bowl Free Returns to Hudson Valley
Since 2007, more than 1,000 locations have hosted Kids Bowl Free program, allowing more than 35 million bowlers hit the lanes each summer at very little cost to their families. The goal of the initiative is to provide a safe, secure and fun way for kids to spend time this summer, while also giving back to the community.
Across New York State, there are nearly 40 locations now enrolling bowlers for the summer 2024 program. Here in the Hudson Valley, bowling centers in Warwick, Carmel, Poughkeepsie, and Wappingers are currently participating. Nearby, Mt. Kisco, Yonkers, New City and more will offer the opportunity for kid bowlers to enroll in the program.
Each registered child will receive 2 FREE Games of bowling each day all summer long.

Additional Details and Potential Costs for Kids Bowl Free
Please note, each individual bowling center, along with any school affiliating with the program, have determined the age restrictions for their centers/programs.
In order to register for the program, check out the participating bowling centers and identify the one you'd like to register with. You will then register your child/children (no cost), and will see options for adding a Family Pass (for a cost) and also adding shoe rental (also for a cost) onto your account as well. The answers to specifics about the shoe rental, family pass cost, and such can be found on the KBF FAQ page here.
I've registered my now eight year old for the past three years, and we've used it on hot days, rainy days, 'i'm bored' days and as a fun and inexpensive weekend activity during summer break, my family has even been able to bring her without me being there (and without any cost, too).
