Gal Gadot, star of the hit movie Wonder Woman 1984, celebrated her film’s success at the box office by reminiscing about her time on set. In a playful post on TikTok, the 35-year-old Israeli actress shared a video of her “first time dancing” on the app. Clad in a stylish 80s-inspired pink sweater dress and neon accessories, Gal jammed out to the Cyndi Lauper hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun alongside her hair and makeup team.
Having some fun: Gal Gadot uploaded her debut dancing TikTok video on Tuesday, giving a glimpse of a lively moment from the filming of Wonder Woman 1984.
Gal Gadot looked like she was having so much fun as she took a seat and got dolled up by a team of professionals wearing face shields to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
To further prioritize safety, the actress’s dressing room was set up outdoors in the open air, rather than in a cramped trailer.
As Gadot mimed along to the music, her hair and makeup crew got to work.
But when the catchy chorus hit, they couldn’t resist breaking out into a spontaneous dance.
Remaining seated, the superhero star threw her hands up in the air and danced along with them.
Absolutely awesome! The 35-year-old Israeli actress looked like the ultimate 80s fashion icon in a stylish pink sweater dress and vibrant neon accessories. She was jamming out to the hit song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper with her hair and makeup crew.
Excited crew: Gal appeared to be having a great time while getting glammed up by a team of experts in face shields to protect against COVID-19.
Too tempting to resist: While Gadot mimed along, her stylists immediately focused on her hair and makeup. But when the iconic chorus hit, they couldn’t resist joining in and busting out some dance moves.
Gal playfully shared a funny moment on her Instagram, sharing some candid shots of her unique outfit behind the scenes. She joked about her TikTok dancing debut in the caption, expressing her surprise at the unexpected turn of events. It’s no doubt that she was feeling good after hearing about the success of the latest Patty Jenkins film, which set a new record for pandemic box-office earnings by bringing in $16.7 million in North America.

While Wonder Woman 1984’s box office numbers may not rival the original film’s massive $100 million opening, Warner Bros. is still pleased with the results, especially considering that only 35% of theaters in the U.S. are currently open.
Exciting news came on Sunday as the studio confirmed plans to fast-track a third Wonder Woman movie, with Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins at the helm once again.
Despite being available on the HBO Max streaming service, specific viewership numbers for Wonder Woman 1984 have not been disclosed.
Reports from Variety reveal that a large portion of ticket sales in the U.S. were from private watch parties, where groups rented out theater rooms at cinemas for approximately $100 each.
Hit: Wonder Woman 1984 has become the biggest hit in theaters during the pandemic. The film made its debut on Christmas Day and raked in $16.7 million at the box office in North America over the weekend.
When combined with its international earnings, the superhero flick has amassed a total global revenue of $85 million as of Sunday.
Back in 2017, the original Wonder Woman movie made History as the highest-grossing film directed by a woman, earning a whopping $822 million worldwide.
The highly anticipated sequel, with a production budget of around $200 million, was initially poised to reach nearly $1 billion in ticket sales before the pandemic struck. However, it is now projected to make around $180 million, according to reports from Variety.
The revenue from the new Wonder Woman sequel may not have reached the heights of the original film’s $100 million opening, but it is still considered a success. Warner Bros. revealed on Sunday that they are already working on a third installment of the Wonder Woman franchise, with Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins set to return.
