Gabriel Jesus insists Premier League title race is not over after Southampton draw
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has refused to concede defeat in the Premier League title race after the Gunners fell to a third successive draw against Southampton on Friday.
Late strikes from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka secured a 3-3 draw at home to the Premier League's bottom side, but the Gunners' lead atop the table has now been cut to just five points and Mikel Arteta's side have played two Games more than Manchester City, who they will face at the Etihad on Wednesday.
Arsenal's fate does still remain in their own hands, and while that remains the case, Jesus is not giving up hope.
"We don’t want to come here and talk negative because we are very positive. The season we are doing is amazing," Jesus told Sky Sports after the game.
"It’s the Premier League. It’s not easy, it’s tough. You compete against tough teams like Southampton. They come, try to defend well and then counter-attack.

"We conceded an early goal that killed our plan but I think apart from that, we played really good, we responded really well with the crowd.
"Now is the difficult moment. We are putting ourselves in some difficult moments in the games but it’s time now to stick together.
"We still have a lot of things to do this season. Nothing is over. We are still five points clear. They have two Games in hand. If we want to be champions we have to go there and win the Game, that’s all."
Arsenal will need a response when they travel to Manchester on Wednesday for the biggest game of the season, knowing a victory would flip the narrative and hand control back to the Gunners as they approach the climax of the campaign.
