For the love of your pet – Pet First Aid, CPR, Disaster Response classes
A Pet CPR & 1st Aid + Disaster Response will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 6 – 9:30 PM at Torrey Enterprises | TeachUCPR, Washington Trust Business Center, 3280 Post Rd, Warwick. There are still available spots – but registration is required: Register Today
The course, Pet First Aid and Disaster Response, teaches students what to do if their beloved Pet becomes sick or injured. Some of the topics that will be discussed during the program are CPR for your dog or cat, what happens when Animals choke, and how to do mouth-to-snout resuscitation. Medical emergencies such as seizures are discussed. You will also go over injury prevention, assessment, and treatment for broken bones and soft tissue injuries, such as cuts.
Finally, during a disaster, either man made or natural, a lot of things are going on at the same time. You want your pet with you if at all possible. We have to prepare – for them – as well as being prepared for ourselves. You should have a “go bag” for your pets – as well as your family.
This course carries a two year certification card and certificate. You will receive a guidebook, reviewing everything in class.
Many people take CPR and first aid courses for their family… now’s the time to protect that “little furball” as well. Cost of the program will be $50.00 for the first member of a household and $35.00 for each additional member.
