Final Day Ryder Cup Picks, Predictions and Best Bets

That Euro team sure know how to make an early wake up call worthwhile. When the alarm (aka my 11-month old son) sounded at 3am, I checked the TV and the adrenaline hit me like a shot of espresso.

Another morning session at the Ryder Cup proved to be fruitful for Luke Donald’s squad as they secured a 3 – 1 victory to take the overall score to 9.5 to 2.5. Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg turned it on and never gave their opponents a chance, gifting us with a record-breaking 9 & 7 beat down of Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka. I really thought Koepka would play a huge role on Saturday, and it just didn’t happen. The result reduced Scottie to tears.

Team USA did turn things around – as best they could – in the afternoon, taking three points in three wins with Patrick Cantlay proving to be the hero they so desperately needed. A little bit of drama between Rory McIlroy and Joe LaCava, Cantlay’s caddy, gave us some fireworks on the 18th green, that even ran over to the clubhouse as the Northern Irishman was leaving to head back to the team hotel. I can’t wait to see how this is going to be received on the course on Sunday. Those fans have been passionate…and vocal!

Heading into the final day of 12 singles matches, Europe lead 10.5 – 5.5 points. They need to win four matches to reclaim the Ryder Cup, and the U.S. will have to show us another record-breaking performance to retain. The largest comeback on the final day of comPetition has been from 10 – 6, and if you believe the Ryder Cup will be dripping in Stars and Stripes, your odds are +1400. Europe are -490 to win, and a draw is +1600.

First out on Sunday are Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler, a repeat of their ’21 match at Whistling Straits that saw Scottie take a point off the Spaniard. Hovland and Morikawa follow, before Rose and Cantlay tee off, and then McIlroy and Burns go head to head. Remember, Europe only need 4 points to win, therefore McIlroy could be the guy to secure victory. This Scottish girl is wearing her heart on her sleeve and wholeheartedly rooting for her team!

Ryder Cup Day 3 Best Bets

Here’s a few bets I like for Sunday:

Europe to win the day over USA (+115)

Team USA are the Vegas favorites to win the day, taking its Saturday Fourball momentum over to the Singles session. To be honest, I just don’t see it happening. I think it’ll be a close battle, but I see Europe getting this done in impressive fashion.

Sunday Singles Final Score Europe 8 – 4 (+1200)

As I said, I think the Americans will play better but I think Europe is just too strong on home soil.

Brian Harman to beat Tyrrell Hatton (+120)

I knew Harman would relish every second of his Ryder Cup debut, and his tenacious attitude will be amplified when playing against Hatton. I think it’ll be a close match, but I like these odds for Harman.

Robert McIntyre to beat Wyndham Clark (+170)

My heart lies with Scotland, and McIntyre seemed to ease up and find his Game on Saturday, putting a point on the board alongside Justin Rose.
