Europa League 2024 quarter-finals and semi-finals draw: Teams, fixtures, dates and pairings

Liverpool will play against Atalanta in the 2023/24 Europa League quarter-finals, with AC Milan drawn to face fellow Italian side Roma. The Premier League leaders and the Serie A giants will both play at home in the first leg.

In the other two ties, Bayer Leverkusen will host the first leg of their tie against West Ham, while Benfica will start with home advantage against Marseille.

The draw in Nyon also defined the bracket for the semi-finals. The winners of the Benfica - Marseille clash will face Liverpool or Atalanta, while either Milan or Roma will play Leverkusen or West Ham in the other last-four clash.

The first legs of the quarter-final ties will be played on Thursday 11 April, with the second legs following on Thursday 18 April.

What happens if there’s a tie?

The away goals rule is no longer in play in UEFA comPetitions, which means ties will go to extra time (two periods of 15 minutes) if the teams are level after 180 minutes. If they still cannot be separated, a penalty shootout will follow.

Europa League round of 16 second leg results

Liverpool posted the most eye-catching victory in the round of 16, thrashing Czech side Sparta Prague 11-2 on aggregate as they continue their push to win four trophies, including the Premier League.

Where and when will the 2023-24 Europa League final be played?

This year’s Europa League final will be played at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday 22 May.

The match will kick off at 3pm ET / 12pm PT.

This will be the second time the venue has hosted the tournament’s showpiece game after 2011, when Porto defeated compatriots Braga, with Colombian striker Radamel Falcao scoring the only goal.
