Andre Onana and Luke Shaw are fit and available for Manchester United's trip to Everton on Sunday but doubts remain over Rasmus Hojlund.

27-year-old Onana picked up an injury while away on international duty with Cameroon, raising concerns that he may not be ready for United's visit to Goodison Park.

But the summer signing from Inter was able to train as normal on Friday in a significant boost for Erik ten Hag, who will also welcome Shaw back into the fold after three months on the treatment table.

Shaw's return is a huge boost for a United squad depleted by injuries to Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, while uncertainty remains over the fitness of Hojlund, who picked up a hamstring problem in the 1-0 win over Luton Town prior to the international break.

"Andre is okay," Ten Hag told the media at his pre-match press conference. "He stepped in training today, he's good. Rasmus: still is a close finish. He's training, he finished outside, making very good steps and we have to wait until tomorrow and we will make a final decision.

"Luke Shaw will be available for Sunday, he will be in the squad. To Jonny: he's on the way back, he's not ready for Everton, he will not take long."

Despite coming under increasing pressure for United's poor results in the Champions League, the gloom over the red half of Manchester has lifted somewhat with four wins from the club's last five Premier League Games.

Brentford, Sheffield United, Fulham and Luton have all been dispatched by United both at home and on the road, though the manner of the victories hasn't been entirely convincing. During that run, Ten Hag has also seen his side picked apart by Manchester City and Newcastle in the three days - the latter 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford coming in the Carabao Cup fourth round.

Sunday's trip to Goodison Park comes just three days before United take on Galatasaray in a must-win Champions League Game, with the matches not getting any easier as Newcastle and Chelsea lie in wait at the beginning of December.
