Dumbledore vs Gandalf: Pubity’s Instagram poll sparks debate on who would win
In a recent Instagram poll conducted by Pubity, fans were asked to weigh in on who would win in a fictional battle between two legendary wizards, Gandalf and Dumbledore.
The results were overwhelmingly in favour of Dumbledore, who received 75.47% of the votes, while Gandalf garnered only 24.53%.
Dumbledore, a central figure in Harry Potter, is portrayed as the wise and powerful headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He was brought to life on the big screen by actors Richard Harris in the first two films and later by Michael Gambon.
Fans of the wizarding world see Dumbledore as a master strategist, whose magical prowess is unmatched.

On the other hand, Gandalf, from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series, is a legendary figure in his own right, known for his bravery, wisdom, and extraordinary magical abilities.
Played by Sir Ian McKellen in Peter Jackson’s film adaptations, Gandalf has long been revered as one of fantasy literature’s most iconic characters.
Despite Gandalf's formidable reputation, the poll showed that fans believe Dumbledore would come out on top in a hypothetical fight.
The results sparked lively debates online, with fans passionately defending their favourite wizard.
