Draymond Green Fires Back At Klay Thompson For Unfollowing Warriors
Klay Thompson made something of a surprising move this week after he decided to unfollow the Golden State Warriors on social media.
In addition to that, he also cut ties with Stephen Curry on social media – a decision that is arguably even more drastic than the original unfollow spree.
A day later, Draymond Green took to his podcast to address the situation.
“I think that’s comical. I know you all would be wanting like somebody’s feelings to be hurt or something. It ain’t that. [It’s] never going to be that. That’s hilarious.”

“I know all of you were probably looking forward to me talking about Klay unfollowing the Warriors and deleting some IG posts or something. I had no idea that happened,” he said.
“I think it’s f—ing hilarious. I think that’s comical. I know you all want somebody’s feelings to be hurt or something. It ain’t that. Ain’t never going to be that. That’s hilarious.”
Understandably, fans all had a similar reaction to Green’s comments:
What’s hilarious about it?

That’s your brother man, could have sidestepped the question.

I’m not a GS fan but I imagine Draymond is talking about their brotherhood. Even if Klay isn’t on
the Warriors anymore, their friendship isn’t going to change which makes it hilarious to him. Fans would think he’s butthurt about Klay unfollowing the Warriors.— J Kristopher (@jkristopher) June 16, 2024
Big picture, Thompson is an unrestricted free agent. There are currently four teams he seems like he would be okay going to if he opts to leave the Warriors, but everything is an option at this point.
Green may be privy to knowledge that nobody else has, but if he isn’t, then his reaction to Thompson’s actions this week are all the more puzzling.
