Draftkings Best 3M Open Final Round Showdown Picks 7/27/24

This Sunday, Draftkings Golf fans will be presented with the final round of the 2024 3M Open. Let’s take a look at the first round of this event from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s review where the final round of the 2024 3M Open will be played.

The final round of the 2024 3M Open will be played at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. TPC Twin Cities is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,431 yards.

*TPC Twin Cities has hosted the 3M Open since 2019.

Here are my DraftKings player selections for the final round of the 2024 3M Open.

2024 3M Open Draftkings Final Round Picks

Jhonattan Vegas $8,700

The talented Venezuelan arrives at the final round of this week’s PGA Tour event on the heels of three consecutive top 27 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 20th place result at the John Deere Classic three weeks ago.

Jhonattan Vegas certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. In relation to this week’s 2024 3M Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Jhonattan Vegas ranks fifth in GIR (greens in regulation), 20th in birdie or better percentage, seventh in bogey avoidance, 11th in total Draftkings points scored, and eighth in strokes gained tee to green.

It should be mentioned that Jhonattan Vegas has posted a quality result at TPC Twin Cities in the past. More specifically, Vegas finished second at the 2021 3M Open.

Upon the completion of this afternoon’s third round at the 2024 3M Open, Jhonattan Vegas is currently in solo first place with a cumulative three round score of 16 under par.

Sahith Theegala $10,200

Sahith Theegala has accumulated three top 12 finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open three weeks ago.

I certainly like Theegala’s chances of continuing his outstanding play on the Golf course in tomorrow’s final round of the 2024 3M Open.

J.J. Spaun $7,400

J.J. Spaun has accumulated three top 29 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a tenth-place result at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic in June.

In relation to this week’s 2024 3M Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, J.J. Spaun ranks second in birdie or better percentage, ninth in strokes gained approach, second in strokes gained on par fives, 18th in proximity to the hole, and fourth in total Draftkings points scored.

After the completion of today’s third round of the 2024 3M Open, J.J. Spaun is currently in a tie for ninth-place with a three round cumulative score of ten under par.
