Emmanuel Ogbah has been nothing short of relentless since his arrival at Miami. Joining the Dolphins after consecutive nine-sack seasons, he quickly cemented himself as a key force on the defensive line, and a four-year, $65 million deal followed. But as Ogbah’s production dipped, he was released, only to return a few months later on a more budget-friendly contract.

Now, with 15 tackles, two sacks, and even an interception, he‘s back and firing. And he’s recently celebrated his birthday.

Biceps tear not stopping Ogbah

But while Ogbah may be giving the Dolphins everything he has, his body has been paying the price.

Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver had said that the player had “tore something in his bicep,” but that he was fighting through it. As for Ogbah he was clear.

“I’m managing it out there,” he said. “I’m still doing my job.” He even called the injury “sustainable,” though he was quick to admit there’s no time to let it rest.

“I’ve played through pain damn near my whole career, so it’s definitely just dealing with the pain.”

When Ogbah faced the Los Angeles Rams in 2020, he made his impact felt, forcing a fumble from Jared Goff on the Dolphins’ 7-yard line – a play that led to a Game-shifting touchdown. Miami left with a 28-17 win. As he prepares to face them again on Monday night, Ogbah’s eyeing another shot at the Rams’ pocket-passing Matthew Stafford.

“It’s definitely harder to go after mobile quarterbacks,” he said, “but going against a non-mobile quarterback...you can get after them more.”

The Game between Dolphins - Rams will be played on Monday November 11, with kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT. You can follow it live with our Dane right here on AS USA.
