The Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos meet Sunday in NFL action from Empower Field at Mile High. Here’s a Denver Broncos vs LA Chargers Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Broncos vs Chargers pick.

Los Angeles Chargers Betting Preview

The Chargers got off to a pretty good start this year with a pair of wins. Those came 22-10 versus the Las Vegas Raiders and 26-3 over the Carolina Panthers. LA fell in Game three however, dropping one 20-10 on the road versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Chargers’ fourth Game was a loss as well, dropping the team back to 2-2 overall. LA hosted the Kansas City Chiefs, failing to score over the final three quarters in a 17-10 result. QB Justin Herbert finished with 179 passing yards and a TD in the defeat.

Denver Broncos Betting Preview

Over on the Broncos’ side, they lost their first two Games to the Seahawks 26-20 and the Steelers 13-6. Denver bounced back with wins in their next pair over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-7 and the New York Jets 10-9, though.

Matched up against the Raiders last weekend, the Broncos were down 10-0 after the first quarter. Denver caught fire in the final three quarters though, eventually winning 34-18. Bo Nix led the way on 206 pass yards and two scores (with a rush TD). Javonte Williams carried 13 times for 61 yards rushing.

Denver Broncos vs LA Chargers Prediction

I’m sticking with the Broncos. Denver has carved out a winning record through five Games thanks to some scrappy play. The Broncos only mustered 289 yards of offense (180 passing), 18 first downs and 3-of-12 on third-down tries in their latest win, though—not to mention the nine penalties. Denver’s defense came up with three interceptions on the other side, and the Raiders’ 11 penalties didn’t hurt, either.

As for the Chargers, they went cold after the first quarter in their latest loss to the Chiefs. LA ended up with just 224 total yards (169 passing), 4.2 yards per play, 12 first downs and nine penalties in a pretty rough effort. The Chargers had some extra time to rest and prep for this one though, so I like them to be competitive here. I don’t think LA will quite cover, though.
