DeMar DeRozan’s Bold Prediction For Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings upgraded the roster in a big way this summer when they added DeMar DeRozan from the Chicago Bulls.

The Los Angeles Lakers made a strong play for DeRozan, but ultimately he opted to go in a different direction.

The real reason why came out later.

This week DeRozan spoke about his future in Sacramento and offered a bold prediction for the Kings ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

“Being able to play with a guy like De’Aaron Fox and Sabonis, with the year that they had before. Even last year before injuries, they were a top team in the conference. I felt like I could be that piece to take them over the top,” DeRozan said.

“I wanted a challenge. I feel like when you take on a challenge, it brings the best out of you every single night. Playing in the Western Conference before it brings the best out of you. I wanted that challenge,” he continued.

Will DeRozan ultimately be the piece that pushes the Kings into the Western Conference Finals? Time will tell.
