The 26-year-old French striker, who has had a limited role under Palace’s manager Oliver Glasner, scoring just eight goals last season, is being considered for sale as the club looks to revamp its squad.
Edouard’s potential availability has caught the attention of Celtic fans, especially after he was invited back to appear on stage at the club’s Player of the Year award night, fueling rumours of a possible return to Scotland. Mainstream media outlets like Record Sport have also picked up on the chatter online.
The striker initially left Celtic Park for Selhurst Park in 2021, with Palace paying £13.5 million for his services.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the next season, Palace is keen to cash in on him to fund Glasner’s summer rebuild.
However, the asking price is just simply out of the question for Celtic even if there was interest, it is more than double their current record transfer fee, which they broke to sign Eddy the first time from PSG. Transfer rumours are going to run wild this summer, but at least we can almost certainly put this one to bed now we know the figure the EPL side is chasing.
